respiratory protection
EN136 : Full face masks that cover whole face
They are manufactured in a flexible rubber or silicone and are fitted
with a transparent visor. The mask can be fitted with particulate and
gas filters.
EN139 : Compressed airline breathing apparatus
incorporating a full or half mask
The products operate on a constant flow or positive pressure
demand valve. They are generally fitted with a positive pressure
demand valve is recommended for use in confined space working.
EN140 : Half masks
Which cover the nose, mouth and chin. The face mask is generally
manufactured from a flexible rubber or silicone. The mask can be
fitted with a range of replaceable filters for both particulate and
gas/vapour.

EN141 : Filters anti-gas and combined
EN143 : Filters for particules
EN146 : Powered hoods and helmets
For protection against particulates only. Two levels of protection are available (THP1 - THP2). This standard is now superseded by EN12941.
EN149 : 2001 Filtering face piece for particules
These devices are substantially constructed from the filter media itself and should be disposed of after each shift. These are three protection classes (FFP1 - FFP2 - FFP3) and the devices only cover the nose, mouth and chin.
EN271 : Compressed airline or Fresh air breathing apparatus incorporating a hood
For operations of projection of abrasives.
EN270 : Compressed airline breathing apparatus incorporating a hood or helmet
EN371 : Filters anti-gas AX and filters combined
Against composite organic does not have low boiling.
EN402 : Respiratory protective devices. Lung governed demand self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus with full face mask or mouthpiece assembly for escape
Supplied air breathing apparatus, Breathing apparatus, Respirators, Compressed air, Performance testing, Environmental testing, Pressure testing, Performance, Volume, Circuits.
EN1827 : Half-masks without inhalation valve, with dismantable filters, against gases and particles
EN1835 : Light duty Compressed airline fed hoods, helmets and visors
Commonly used in factories and for spraying applications. Three levels of protection are available (LDH1 - LDH2 - LDH3). The maximum length of airline permitted is 10 metres.
EN12941 : Powered hoods and helmets
This standard includes provision for protection against particulates and gases/vapours. These are three protection classes (TH1 - TH2 - TH3). These devices rely on for their protection on a constant flow of filtered air provided by a battery powered fan.
EN12942 : Power assisted face mask respirators
Includes provision for protection against both particulates and gases/vapours. These are three protection classes (TM1 - TM2 - TM3).
These devices may include half masks or full face masks. They are termed as power assisted since they will still offer protection equivalent to a standard negative pressure respirator if the power fails.
